HAI PHONG BUFFALO FIGHTING FESTIVAL 2022
Despite of raining, tens of thousands people keep coming to join in the excited atmosphere of buffalo fighting festival September 4th 2022 (August 9th lunar calendar).
After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this morning (September 4, or August 9 of the lunar calendar), the Do Son traditional buffalo fighting ceremony 2022 was held again with the participation of 16 “Mr buffalo” from 6 wards.
Many people in remote provinces said that in order to watch the Buffalo Fighting Festival in time, they had to came to Do Son from the evening of September 3 (mean 8/8 of the lunar calendar).
In addition to activities with traditional rituals, this year’s Buffalo Fighting Festival has additional side events such as the Bolero Night Live show at the Square of May 15. EDM music festival at 15/5 Square; Street music from September 2nd – September 4th
Vietnamese village fair at the walking street from September 2 to September 4, from 15:00 to 21:00; folk games to serve and attract tourists to Do Son.
Along with activities within the framework of the festival, the People’s Committee of Do Son district has also assigned the Festival Organizing Committee to coordinate national travel and tourism companies to bring tourists to the festival and organize tours to experience the festival. Experience in Do Son on the occasion of National Day September 2 and the Buffalo Fighting Festival in 2022 to promote tourism development, promote investment cooperation as well as improve propaganda, promotion and introduction of prices traditional valency of the festival.
